grounds alongside the River Thames. Here, the ancient Ridgeway of the Berkshire Downs sweeps down Streatley Hill to an historic river
crossing, where the hotel now stands. Oxford, with its dreaming
spires, is close by. Whatever the season, The Swan Diplomat is the ideal base for touring some of England's loveliest
countryside.
- The hotel offers one suite and 45 exquisitely furnished
bedrooms; many have a view of the river, others have a view of the ancient church and countryside. All have private en-suite
bathrooms, colour satellite television, minibars, radio,
hairdryers and beverage tray.
- The dining room and the bar, with their relaxing waterside
views offer a combination of traditional English, combined with
European cuisine, complemented by a good choice of wines. Guests
may also choose to dine on the River Terrace during the summer
months, from the bar menu.
