Description:
With its spectacular location facing the full force of the
Atlantic on one of England's most dramatic coastlines Tintagel Castle is place of many legends. The gaunt remains of the medieval castle
probably dating from 13c represents just one phase in its long
history. Even before Richard, Earl of Cornwall built his castle here
Tintagel was associated with the birthplace of the great legendary
King Arthur.
Location
On Tintagel Head .5 along uneven track (no vehicles). Tintagel is off A39 on the north Cornwall coast about 20 miles west
of Launceston. Rail: Bodmin Parkway - then bus 122 or 125

TRERICE

Description:
A delightful, small, secluded Elizabethan manor house,
built in 1571 with an early gabled facade. containing fine
fireplaces, good plaster ceilings, oak and walnut furniture and
clocks. The summer garden has unusual plants and a small museum
traces the development of the lawn mower.
