Description
180ft Diameter circular fort built in 1808 to defend the port against a Napoleonic invasion. Now being restored by the Harwich Society. Eleven guns on battlements. Eight casements contain museums, military, second world war, nautical crafts etc.

Behind 29 Main Road, Harwich, A120 from Colchester. Bus: Eastern National Harwich Bus Station - 102 - 103 - 104 - 106 - 606. Station: Harwich Town 300 metres.
