of the first (and most famous) motor museums in the grounds with a

The medieval seat of Bishops of Winchester. Much of the
palace was destroyed by fire in the Battle of Cheriton (1644) and
extensive ruins can be seen. However much of Dower House remains
intact and an exhibition of the powerful Bishops of Winchester on the
