Description
A museum that documents and interprets the Roman town of Calleva Arbertum of which the remains (notably the 1.5 mile city wall and amphitheatre) can be visited. Exhibits also at Reading Museum.

Location
Silchester is between Basingstoke and Reading. Either M4 junc 12, then A4, A340 and signs or M3 junc 6 then A339, then A340 and signs. Rail Reading or Basingstoke.
