Description
One of the finest 17th-century houses in Norfolk, with its
original 18th-century furniture and pictures, and outstanding library
and recently-opened domestic wing. The Walled Garden has been
restored, complete with dovecote, greenhouses and the traditional
layout of herbaceous plants and fruit trees, including the national
collection of colchicums. There are extensive walks in the Park,
woods and around the lake.
Location
Near Felbrigg village. 2 miles SW of Cromer. Entrance off
B1436 signposted from A148 and A140. Station: Cromer or Roughton
Road.

Description
These remarkable Neolithic flint mines, unique in England,
comprise over 300 pits and shafts. the visitor can descend some
10metres (30ft) by ladder into one excavated shaft, and look along
the radiating galleries, where the flint for making axes and knives
was extracted.

Description
Palladian style mansion built in 18th-century. Still home to
the descendants of the 1st Earl of Leicester. State rooms open to the
public contain many works of art including Greek and Roman statues
and paintings by Rubens, Van Dyck and Gainsborough. There is also a
park and small museum and History of Farming exhibition and Garden
Centre.
