STONEHENGE

Description
Due to conservation concerns this open air site is
now enclosed and is administered by English Heritage. It can be
viewed from the road or a ticket into the enclosure can be purchased
where a closer view can be gained. The ticket includes an interactive audio tour about the facts and legends of the monument and is available in six languages.
Location
It lies near the main A303 road 2 miles west of Amesbury at the
junction of A3444. A bus leaves every hour to the monument from
Salisbury train station.
