One of my first & most memorable experiences of
Yorkshire was pitching camp outside the Tan Hill Inn whilst on a
camping holiday with friends when I was just 15. Being the highest
pub in England, it was a little exposed to say the least - I remember
we had great trouble keeping our tents from being airborn. The
blustery peaks of the Yorkshire Dales are just one of the many
features of this incredibly varied region. Yorkshire reaches into
three national parks; the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors and
the Peak District (including the bleak moors of Bronte country), and
has attractions to suit everyone.
