Horse Guards Parade
At the eastern end of St. Jame's Park on the site of the tilt-yard of Whitehall Palace stands Horseguards Parade. In 1540 Henry V111 organised a great tournament here that was attended by knights from all over Europe. The present Palladium-style building was designed by William Kent. Ceremonies happen here every day at 11 am and 4pm. See also GUARDS
