Whitehall
Continuing north towards Trafalgar Square.... This wide and graceful thoroughfare derives its name from the grand Whitehall Palace which was burnt to the ground in 1698 of which only the Banqueting House, now sumptuously restored, is the only remains. Today the street is dominated by grand government building which include the ministry of Defense, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Treasury and many others and of corse Downing Street where the prime minister lives .
