British Library
The new British
Library is now open. It is the UKs national library and is
funded by government to be the custodian of the most
important collection in the world, spanning almost 3000
years and from every continent. Although not a public
library, researchers needing access to this unrivalled
collection of books, journals, manuscripts, stamps, patents,
sound recordings, printed music and maps - can apply to use
the library's reading rooms.
