Burton on Trent
Due to the particularly suitable waters of the river Trent, Burton has been a brewing town of considerable vintage. The monks of Burton Abbey were brewing as early as 11 c. Although the town has other industries it is still brewing that drives the town, principally as being the home port of the giant Bass Corporation (See Bass Museum). The town has a series of very distinctive red brick buildings.
