The Forest of Dean

On entering the forest one is struck by a sense of peace or, for some, awe or fear. It is an ancient primeval forest of over 20 million trees bounded by the Severn and Wye rivers. There are several small towns, high - the forest is high, and relics of ancient habitation.

 

The area holds some beautiful attractions and soon we will be presenting pages on the following, including the spectacular Severn Bore, the largest tidal wave in the world and the legend of Sabrina.
