Folkestone Whilst the new Channel Tunnel (see below) rail link begins its descent 3 miles NW of the city centre Folkestone has been a busy resort town since the mid Victorian times and most of its hotels are of that period. It has a pleasant little harbour, a modern shopping centre, many amenities and high cliffs leading down to a funfair. Many nearby attractions. |
