Lyme Regis
A very picturesque medieval port where the town slopes
(see below) steeply down to the sea. Nowadays it is a charming resort which has been the backdrop
of many a film including French Lieutenants Woman where the Cobb (the jetty that juts out to sea) was prominently
featured. Just beyond the town is a completely untouched
beach that is rich in fossils.
