Southend Being the largest town in Essex - under 1 hour from London's Liverpool Street Station - the seaside town of Southend caters for many tastes. The quiet and elegant grace of the West Cliff, the far away feel of the East Beach, the huge action pubs high octane clubs and discos of the middle section give plenty of variety. The Kursaal meeting ground for many a sweetheart is now well refurbished as an arcade and will bring fond memories for some.
